speaking of police dramas, does/did anyone watch Southland on NBC? i caught it on hulu. i like it. it’s not as gritty as The Wire or Homicide: Life on the Streets, but still good for network TV.
speaking of decent network tv (and furthering this already tangential tangent), anybody besides me and ben watching Kings on NBC (i.e. Hulu). Shit’s good. Modern day imagining of the story of david. first season is basically 1st Samuel. it isn’t getting picked back up by NBC, but with any luck somebody else will, so they can do 2nd Samuel and the books of kings.

The police guys on The Wire are always using antiquated typewriters. And not the cool kind, but the soulless gray word processor type.

Have I blogged about this before?
